Two horses picked as favorites to win Melbourne Cup

Caulfield Cup winner Mer De Glace of Japan and Constantinople of Ireland have been picked as favorites to win the 2019 Melbourne Cup.

Grants Betting House General Manager, Vijendra Sundar says the two have had the most support from punters ahead of the race.

“The favorite at the moment is number 2 Mer De Glace and number 19 (Constantinople) so these two horses are favourites to win the cup but like I said there are 24 horses running, anybody can win so please gamble responsibly”

Sundar says that they are expecting a good turn out from tomorrow in their outlets around Fiji.

He adds that the hype for tomorrow’s race has been building from last week.

Meanwhile, Mer De Glace will attempt to become the first since Ethereal in 2001 to win the Caulfield Cup and the Melbourne Cup.

The 2019 Melbourne Cup is expected to begin at 4pm tomorrow.
